Wyden, Blumenthal Condemn Reported Plan to Annex West Bank
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., today condemned a reported plan by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex parts of the West Bank, in violation of international law.
“As steadfast supporters of a negotiated two-state solution, we are very concerned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s stated intention to annex parts of the West Bank. We oppose unilateral actions by either side that could further threaten the prospects for a just and lasting peace, and the Prime Minister must refrain from such a provocative step,” Wyden and Blumenthal said.
