Reimagining America’s Health Care System
America’s health care system is broken. Prescriptions are barely affordable. Oregonians are getting stuck with massive piles of medical debt. And that’s if you’re lucky enough to even find a doctor that can see you.
Republicans took a system that already too often delayed and denied care to patients and made it even worse by defunding more than $1 trillion from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act while driving up premiums for everyone else.
While Republicans are working to undermine care and drive up costs, I’m leading the charge in the Senate to reimagine health care in the United States. When Democrats retake a trifecta of power, we will be ready to deliver a health care system that ensures every single Oregonian can get affordable, high-quality care.

At my open-to-all town halls in each of Oregon’s 36 counties every year, I hear about how the high cost of health care is dragging down Oregon’s families and leaving them sicker and poorer.
